StorylineThe film begins with Ronny (Vince Vaughn), his girlfriend Beth (Jennifer Connelly), a best friend Nick (Kevin James), and Nick's wife Geneva (Winona Ryder) in a dinner event. They exchanged stories when Beth asked how long it takes to really know someone. Ronnie stated that you can never really know someone; but Nick does not agree.
A man finds that what you do not say to a friend as important as what you do is a story about how far you can bend the bond of brotherhood before it is locked. Since college, confirmed bachelor Ronny (Vaughn) and happily married to Nick (James) have been through thick and thin. Now a partner in a car design firm, two friends who are competing to land a dream project that will launch their company. Ronnie's girlfriend, Beth (Connelly), and Nick's wife, Geneva (Ryder), is by their side. But Ronny world upside down when he accidentally saw Geneva came out with another man and makes it his mission to get answers, he learns that Nick has a few secrets of his own. Now, with pressure mounting and the clock ticking on the biggest presentation of their career, Ronnie must reveal the truth to his friend.
Nick's meeting with Dodge in a few days, at a car show. They celebrated with a dinner with their women. While Nick and Geneva dancing, Ronny said Beth that he really looks up to Nick, who pulled him onto the dance floor. When they switch partners, Ronny Geneva said that they loved Beth and ask for Ronnie when he will propose. He returned to the Zip to get his camera. Zip answer the door with a pistol, and insists that Ronny in. (She googled that if someone enters your home, you can shoot them to defend themselves.) He then cry about Ronnie kill fish and demands $ 10,000. Ronny offered $ 1000 and an apology. Zip giving back his camera. Nick arrived after Ronnie leaves, after following Ronny.
Ronnie came to his office to find Beth, Nick, his sister, Geneva, and several other people who hold her intervention. Zip emerged seconds later, admitted as a bookie. Ronny lashes out at him and hits.
