Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) travels to London to find someone who has been imitating him. This trickster has reportedly hired crews to find the legendary Fountain of Youth, he was none other than his daughter Angelica former lover (Penélope) Cruz of ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane). After Sparrow save former first couple, Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin McNally), who will soon be hanged, although both were arrested. Jack was brought before King George II (Richard Griffiths), who wanted him to guide the expedition to the Fountain before the Spanish found it. Heading the expedition is Jack's old enemy, Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), now a privateer in the service of the British Navy ship after losing Jack, Pearl Black, and his legs.
Jack managed to escape and was found by his father, Captain Teague (Keith Richards), who warns Jack about Fountain's test. Jack soon found that the fraudsters, who have supernatural powers and practice of voodoo magic. Jack was forced to join Blackbeard crew and to lead them into the Fountain. Meanwhile, Gibbs, who memorized and then destroyed, Sparrow map, barters with Barbossa to lead him and his crew for the Fountain.
Fountain must be taken simultaneously from two silver chalices once owned by Juan Ponce de León. People drink from the cup that contains a mermaid tears have their lives extended, while others will die, the year of their life drained from their bodies. Blackbeard Fountain intend to use force to avoid fatal fated meeting with a one-legged man, and set the program to Whitecap Bay. There he trap mermaids that Philip Swift (Sam Claflin), a missionary captives, fell in love with and the name of Syrena (Astrid Bergès-Frisbey). Up in the Fountain, Blackbeard and his crew were attacked by Barbossa and also Spain, sent by their king to destroy the Fountain, believing that his power is an abomination against God. After an intense battle, Blackbeard with a sword stabbing Barbossa poison-laced, but Angelica was also injured by it. Barbossa claims Blackbeard magical sword, and assuming command, leaves with Blackbeard's crew. Philip, was seriously injured, escaped and returned to Syrena free. After finding the chalices that threw Spain into deep water, Syrena give it to Sparrow, then took Phillip dying, bring it under water to heal.
Angelica will sacrifice himself for his father, but Sparrow deceive them, and Angelica unwittingly drinks from the cup containing the Syrena's torn, so kill Blackbeard and save him. Although they express their love, Jack, knowing he can avenge his father's death, his piece on an island, intending to ship through to pick him up. Jack then finds Gibbs, who uses a compass to find Revenge Sparrow and take all the ships that Blackbeard had captured the magic shrinking and bottles, including the Black Pearl.
